Incineration discourages recycling!

This is a myth. The Government's waste hierarchy encourages three Rs. Reduce the amount of waste produced, Reuse as much as possible and Recycle,only after composting and recycling should recovery (incineration or energy from waste is the recover of energy from the controlled burning of waste) be sought.The least desired option is the Disposal of residual waste in a landfill site. This should be considered as a last resort.

A great deal of thought has gone into the evolution of the services we can provide. We manage waste using our specialised waste management sites throughout, largely London and the South East. Our mission is to provide efficient and environmentally responsible solutions to divert waste from landfill. Resources for recycling and recovery

All local authorities offer kerbside collections for a variety of recyclable materials. Do check on their websites to find out exactly what they will accept for recycling in your area. Local authorities as well as offering kerbside collections are also improving sites where householders can take their bulky items (sofas, bikes, branches, timber, bed frames etc). Call your local authority for further information.

When the recyclable materials are delivered in to LondonWaste, items can either be bulked-up at our Bulk Recycling Centre or in our Recycling Bays before being sent on to specialists, if its organic material it could be processed through the Compost Centre, we also have a Wood Chipping Centre and Ash Recycling Centre.

Commercial businesses can also deliver into our Centres. Services are unique in their entirety. You will not have to search for your own solutions, we will take your "waste" problems away and you will be able to concentrate on running your business. Whether or not a particular "waste" can be recycled depends on its nature and composition. Do you have end of line goods, sensitive documents/confidential papers, skip waste, hardcore?
