About us

LondonWaste provides sustainable waste management services across London. Our vision is to see no waste from our sites sent to landfill.  We operate from a number of sites in London to provide a safe and secure alternative to landfill disposal. We also operate Reuse and Recycling Centres (RRCs) for household materials. Our regulated facilities are integral to London’s resource-economy; recovering energy from waste – enough to power more than 70,000 homes throughout the year – and providing reuse and recycling services.

What you can hope to get from the LondonWaste graduate training programme

You will have the opportunity to work in different business units, including three rotations between our key engineering departments namely: the Energy Centre, Electrical/Instruments and Mechanical engineering.  You will also receive an in-depth developmental training programme which includes a mixture of internal and external training; site visits, work shadowing, mentoring and assessments.

Our unique graduate training programme will help you to grow professionally and develop the skills you need in your future career within the energy sector or further afield. You will also have the opportunity to make a positive contribution to our business helping us to deliver better waste management solutions, and to network with other LondonWaste graduate trainees.

The training programme will commence in September 2017 and will run for three years, this will be on a three year fixed term contract.

About you

Not afraid of heights or working in a waste management environment then this graduate training programme will be perfect for you. It is very practical and ‘hands-on’, and you’ll be expected to help guide the profitability of the business using your engineering skills, knowledge and a sixth-sense for preventative maintenance. You’ll need to eat, sleep and breathe engineering solutions to support project delivery teams, key stakeholders and management, spotting opportunities and developing them to ultimately drive additional revenue.
