Capel Manor Taste of Autumn Event, Saturday 2nd October & Sunday 3rd October, 10am -4pm

The Taste of Autumn will give visitors a chance to sample some unusual vegetables, including Capel's crops of chillies, in dishes in the Terrace Restaurant and taste fruit, vegetables and see autumnal foliage plus apple juice pressing and sampling. There will also be local and Capel-grown produce and other plants for sale. Enfield Mayors Poetry competition

Enfield's Mayor, Cllr Jayne Buckland is backing poetry with an important new competition for unpublished poems.

As part of this year's charity fundraising for the arts, this competition aims to attract entries from all over the country and Mayor Buckland is appealing to everyone over 16 to enter and take part. LondonWaste are pleased to be sponsoring the competition along with local chemical company Fisher Research. Both sponsors will be providing prizes of £500 for the winner, £200 second and £100 for the third place.
